return to timeline WASHINGTON D.C. BOMBED!!! THOUSANDS DEAD, TEN THOUSAND INJURED, RUMOURS OF CHEMICAL WARFARE (Washington D.C.) A surprising raid by mysterious bombers have left central Washingon D.C. in ruins and an estimated three thousand dead and multitudes more injured. Starting at 9:35 p.m. Eastern Time last night, black bomber jets flew over the city unleashing powerful explosives on the city. The White House has declared martial law over the country until the perpetrators can be found. Retrieval crews and medical teams are currently working full-time to search for injured beneath the ruins and bring the injured out of the devastated zone. Hospitals in the outskirts are already filled over their capacity and calls are being made to the public for blood supplies. A Red Cross spokesman was quoted as naming it "a logistic nightmare to keep these people alive." According to some sources, several people have displayed a tendancy to bleed large amounts of blood despite being otherwise uninjured, causing come authorities to fear that some type of chemical or biological weapon has been used in the bombings as well. The physical damage to the city is high. The explosions destroyed many buildings including famous landmarks such as the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial, apparently aiming at destroying the morale of the country. President Jackson has said, "We shall not rest until those responsible have been destroyed."
